Abbott Medical Optics (AMO), a leader in ophthalmic care, sought to deliver a suite of foundational training programs to their global sales force. They turned to The Wellington Group and Creative Perspectives to create these important cornerstone pieces of their online learning line-up.
Covering the basics of ocular anatomy was an important first step. As such, learning objectives were specifically focused on being able to identify various structures of the eye and understand how the process of vision works.
The online learning modules incorporated graphics and animation, which aided in visualization, comprehension, and retention of important content. Used throughout the module, narration supported context and provided important pronunciation of technical terms.
Built-in exercises and self-checks helped to reinforce learning and also aided in retention. Coupled with study guides, the well thought-out program worked effectively to prepare reps for subsequent educational programs.
Built on Creative Perspectives’ custom Marionette™ platform, these modules were created rapidly and cost-effectively. The Marionette platform also helped to streamline the process of translation. Final modules were delivered in English plus 4 European and 4 Asian languages.
